AJACCIO, KOMPAS.com- Paris Hilton, selebriti asal Amerika Serikat ditangkap polisi di Pulau Corsica, Perancis setelah membawa cannabis di handbag-nya.

Sumber di kepolisian menyebutkan, Paris Hilton ditahan setelah tiba di bandara di Figari dengan jet pribadi dari Paris hari Jumat (16/7/10). Polisi menemukan kurang dari satu gram cannabis di tasnya, dan melepaskannya tanpa biaya.

Menurut suratkabar Corse-Matin, Hilton melakukan perjalanan dengan jet pribadinya dengan “orang yang dekat dengan kekuasaan di Malaysia” dan melanjutkan perjalanan dengan yacht ke resort mewah Porto Cervo di Sardinia, Italia. ??

Ini merupakan peristiwa kedua bagi Paris Hilton berurusan dengan hukum bulan ini. Sebelumnya cucu dari pendiri jaringan hotel Hilton ini ditangkap saat Piala Dunia di Afrika Selatan setelah temannya ikut masuk ke stadion, nonton perempat final Brasil-Belanda di Port Elizabeth.

Paris Whitney Hilton lahir di New York City, AS, 17 Februari 1981. Paris Hilton adalah putri dari pasangan Richard Hilton dan Kathy Richards, dan ahli waris Hilton Hotels Vorporation dan perusahaan real estate milik ayahnya. (KSP/AFP)

Pop icon Michael Jackson died Thursday after being rushed to the hospital after suffering cardiac arrest. Jackson, 50, was taken from his Los Angeles home to UCLA Medical Center where doctors worked for more than an hour to try to resuscitate him, his brother Jermaine Jackson said. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

CNN Analyst Roland S. Martin spoke on Thursday with Marlon Jackson, brother of Michael Jackson.

“I talked to Frank Dileo, Michael’s manager. Frank told me that Michael last night was complaining about not feeling well. He called to tell him he wasn’t feeling well.

“Michael’s doctor went over to see him, and Frank said, ‘Marlon, from last night to this morning, I don’t know what happened.’ When they got to him this morning, he wasn’t breathing. They rushed him to the hospital and couldn’t bring him around.”

“Janet Jackson is grief-stricken and devastated at the sudden loss of her brother,” Kenneth Crear, her manager said. “She is … flying immediately to California to be with her family.”
